On the morning of July 2, the opening ceremony of the 6th Xi’an International University Students Summer Camp, hosted by the Xi’an Municipal Education Bureau and organized by our university, was grandly held at Guanzhong Academy. Under the theme "Starting Point of the Silk Road, Sharing the Future," this year’s camp welcomes 69 outstanding young students from 34 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Asia.
The Xi’an International University Students Summer Camp is a flagship "Study in Xi’an" brand event jointly developed by the Xi’an Municipal Education Bureau and our university. Since its inception in 2016, it has been successfully held five times, attracting nearly 300 international university students from close to forty countries. It has received unanimous praise and wide recognition from participants and has played a vital role in fostering youth exchanges between different countries and promoting multicultural interactions around the world.

As an upgraded edition of the event, this year’s camp further highlights the characteristic of "Decoding Contemporary China in Depth, Connecting the Past and Present through Diverse Projects." Together with student volunteers from our university, the campers will embark on a seven-day journey visiting sites such as the Shaanxi History Museum, the Aiju Grain and Oil Industry Base, the Yangling Smart Agriculture Demonstration Park, and the Yanliang Flying Dream Aviation Experience Base, experiencing firsthand the historical pulse and new chapters of Xi’an’s development. Under the guidance of seven international youth mentors, they will also conduct in-depth research on seven major topics — rule-of-law practice, urban governance, intangible cultural heritage, Tang-style Chang’an, the grain and oil industry, natural scenery, and aviation logistics — contributing their wisdom to global people-to-people exchanges, scientific and technological cooperation, and sustainable development.
The Consul-General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General, the Deputy Consul-General of the Consulate-General of Malaysia, along with officials from the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education, the Xi’an Municipal People’s Congress, the Xi’an Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the Xi’an Municipal Education Bureau, the Xi’an Newspaper Group, and our university, as well as all campers and youth mentors, attended the welcome ceremony and the opening ceremony.
