On May 18, a delegation from the San José Department of Uruguay visited Xi’an University of Arts and Sciences. The two sides signed a memorandum of educational cooperation, agreeing to carry out collaboration in cultural heritage preservation, Chinese language promotion, and talent development.
In the morning of the same day, Xu Ketao, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xi’an Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Xi’an, met with Governor Ana Bentaberri of San José Department and her delegation at the municipal government. Following the meeting, witnessed by leaders from both sides, Liu Mingli, Vice President of Xi’an University of Arts and Sciences, and Ana Bentaberri signed theMemorandum of Understanding on Educational Cooperation Between Xi’an University of Arts and Sciences and the San José Department of Uruguay. Under the memorandum, the two parties will share high-quality educational resources and enhance people-to-people exchanges through faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and talent training programs.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the university. Chen Gang, President of Xi’an University of Arts and Sciences, met with the delegation. Liu Mingli, Vice President, together with heads of the International Exchange Office, School of Fine Arts, School of Preschool Education, and School of History, Culture and Tourism, accompanied the meeting. The delegation inspected the characteristic teaching and training facilities for preschool education, learned about the university’s achievements in art education and cultural and creative teaching, and exchanged views on school-running outcomes with heads of majors such as cultural heritage preservation and tourism management.
This visit has not only deepened mutual understanding but also laid a solid foundation for substantive cooperation in the future.
