Shaanxi Provincial Key Laboratory of Children's Cognitive Science and Education Promotionis affiliated to the School of Preschool Education,Xi'an University. It was officially accredited as a Shaanxi Provincial University Key Laboratoryin December 2024.

Supported by the key discipline of Education in Shaanxi Province,the labhas established three research directions: children's cognitive development and learning,child health and brain science,and children's intelligent assessment and educational support. The first direction adopts multi-technology integrated research methods to explore the laws of children's cognitive development and scientific mechanisms for promoting early childhood learning. The second aims to reveal the cognitive neural mechanisms of children's behavioral abnormalities and explore early screening and intervention models for such behaviors. The third appliesAIand other techs to explore methods for children's intelligent assessment and development-promoting models.

The lab currently has 31 full-time researchers,all holding doctoral degrees,including 12 professors,fivedoctoralacademicsupervisors and 14 masteralacademicsupervisors,among whom 12 are young and middle-aged researchers under 45 years old. Its talent team comprisestwo“Young Yangtze River Scholars”of the Ministry of Education,oneexpert of the management group for the Major Project of Brain Science and Brain-inspired Intelligence Research (2030 Agenda) under the Ministry of Science and Technology,oneNational Model Teacher, oneNational Outstanding Teacher,oneLeading Teaching Talent under Shaanxi Sanqin Talent Support Program,oneleader of provincial innovation and entrepreneurship team,threeOutstanding Young Talents and Excellent Young Talents of Shaanxi Provincial Universities,andoneDistinguished Teacher of Shaanxi Provincial Universities. In addition,it has recruitedfiveflexible distinguished experts and off-campus adjunct professors.

Committed to integrating theoretical research with educational practice,the laboratory strives to provide scientific theoretical support and practical technical services for high-quality development of preschool education.
