I. Overview

The School of Economics and Management adheres to the educational philosophy of integrating knowledge with practice and promoting learning for the benefit of society. Based in Xi’an and serving Shaanxi Province while reaching across China, the School is committed to cultivating high-quality application-oriented talents and contributing to regional economic development and social well-being.The School currently has 67 faculty members, including 13 professors, 15 associate professors, and 27 faculty members holding doctoral degrees.

II. Academic Programs and Strengths

The School offers a well-structured and distinctive range of academic programs. The Accounting program has been recognized as a Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program and a Municipal Key Program. The Elderly Care Service Management program closely aligns with China’s national strategy for addressing population aging, with a strong emphasis on social welfare and public service.Programs such as Economics and Finance and Social Work are designed to meet the needs of regional industrial development and modern social governance. Through the integration of economics, management, and law, the School has established an interdisciplinary academic framework aimed at cultivating well-rounded, innovative, and practice-oriented professionals.

III. Teaching and Research Facilities

The School is equipped with advanced teaching and training facilities that provide strong support for practical education and talent development. Major facilities include the Accounting Experiment and Innovation Practice Center, a provincial-level demonstration center for practical teaching, as well as laboratories and training centers for securities and futures trading, commercial banking operations, and smart elderly care services.These facilities offer students extensive opportunities for hands-on learning, professional training, and applied research.

IV. Social Engagement and Career Development

The School is home to the Xi’an Economic and Social Development Research Center, as well astheBeautiful andHarmoniousCountryside Planning and Development Research Center. It also serves as a leading institution in the Xi’an Industry–Education Integration Alliance for the Elderly Care Sector.

Focusing on key areas such as regional economic development, rural revitalization, urban governance, and elderly careand wellnessservices, the School actively promotes applied research and social service initiatives. To date, 51 researchachievementshave been adopted by government departments at various levels, providing valuable support for public policy and local development.

Graduates of the School are widely employed in enterprises, public institutions, financial organizations, elderly care and wellness industries, and social service organizations. Known for their strong professional competence, practical skills, and adaptability, graduates have earned broad recognition from employers.
