with visitors.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a public research university located in Sha Tin, New Territories
of HongKong. Founded in 1963, CUHK is the second university of Hong Kong and only uses the academy
federalism in colleges and universities. The Chinese University of Hong Kong is now a total of 9 membership
colleges and 8 academic colleges, with the University of Hong Kong as the only two local comprehensive
universities. Most of the subjects provided by the school are in English. Three professors and one President
in CUHK have won the Nobel Prizes.
On the welcome ceremony, student representative Hu Xinyu expressed the warm welcome to the students
from CUHK and introduced our campus life. She wished students from both schools could set up friendship
through exchange activities. The representative from CUHK also introduced the situation of CUHK and hoped
they can understand Chinese culture deeply and build friendship through this study. Both parties also
exchanged gifts.
After the ceremony, students from CUHK, accompanied by our volunteers, visited the Yu Ceramics Museum,
Ma Jizhong Painting and Calligraphy Museum and Guanzhong Folk Custom Museum, which provided a more
in-depth understanding of the historical culture, the customs and culture in our school. Students from two
schools had deep exchanges, including culture, education, teaching and employment. The exchange activity
sets up the communication platform for students from two schools and is also another successful attempt in
cross-cultural communication. This cooperation is not only the inheritance of Chinese culture, but also carries
forward the national culture. It has laid a good foundation for strengthening the international cooperation in
running and opening school in the future.
