Musical Visiting Scholar Kevin Thomas Nordstrom from Wright State University Held Solo Concert

On May 27, Musical Visiting Scholar Kevin Thomas Nordstrom from Wright State University visited our 

university.

Kevin Thomas Nordstrom is a famous American youth viola player, who is an associate professor of viola 

of Music School of Wright State University now.

In the meeting, Dong Xiaofeng, the director of Department of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, and 

Yang Yiyuan, vice-dean of School of Arts, expressed a warm welcome to the guest. Dong Xiaofeng introduced 

the related development of discipline construction and achievements in the field of music arts of our school in

recent years and the cooperation program between our university and Wright State University. He also 

discussed with Dr. Kevin about the related issues like student exchange studies majoring in musical arts

of two schools.

After the meeting, Dr. Kevin performed his solo violin concert in studio of Mingde Building and presented 

a beautiful audio-visual feast for our teachers and students.
