Teachers from the School of Arts Showed Extraordinary Talents on Music Festival of the Republic of Armenia

Four teachers from the School of Arts, Yang Yiyuan, Wang Yuanwen,Wang Juan, and Yuan Bo, invited by Yerevan National Music Collegein Armenia, attended the 9th “Renaissance” Music Festival of the Republic

of Armenia in Gyumri and participated in the performance.This year’s music festival was sponsored by

the Armenia’s First Lady to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Yerevan National Music College.

During the days in Armenia, the delegation visited the president of Yerevan National Music College and

has reached an agreement on promoting the communication between two colleges. The governor of Sirak

in Armenia met artists from all over the world. He particularly expressed the warm welcome to the delegation of us and had been looking forward to strengthening the cultural communication between Gyumri and Xi’an. In the opening ceremony of music festival, teachers from our school showed the charm of Chinese music to the world. Yang Yiyuan played a Chinese piano music,Colorful Clouds Chasing the Moon. Wang Yuanwen

sang a west China folk song namedIn a Faraway Fairylandaccompanied at piano by Wang Juan. The unique Chinese music made a deep impression on everybody. Then, the state TV broadcaster made an interview

with our teachers. The mayor of Gyumri had a kind talk with us, which referred to the friendly relationship between Gyumri and Xi’an as well as extended cordial greetings to governors of Xi’an. 

This visit promotes the cultural communication among countries of “the Belt and Road Initiative”, meanwhile spreads the Chinese music to foreign artists, and also broadens the new vision of related music majors of Xi'an University.
