Teachers from School of Foreign Studies Offer Interpretation for Two Important Meetings: the 4th Roundtable Meeting of Cities along Silk Road Economic Belt and Friendly Cooperation Week and the 1st Xi'an International Symposium for History and Culture of Countries along Silk Road

The opening ceremony of the 4th Roundtable Meeting of Cities along Silk Road Economic Belt and Friendly Cooperation Week, themed " More People's Exchange, More Economic Cooperation ", was announced in Xi'an's new and almost the most developed district, Qujiang on the morning of September 20. Different levels of leaders from Armenia, Bulgaria, Cambodia,India, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Montenegro, Morocco, Pakistan, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden, and the United States participated the event.
Zhangsun Furong, and Ni Bo, English teachers from School of Foreign Studies, offered language service for the two mayors of Shan State and Kachin State and other six deputy members of Myanmar in the week-long meeting. The two teachers' excellent and professional interpretation work and warm hospitality was highly praised by the host leaders and also impressed other deputies.
Amid the event, the 1st Xi'an International Symposium for History and Culture of Countries along Silk Road was held in Xi'an University on September 23 and 24. Over eighty scholars from Israel, Japan, Russia, Serbia, Turkey, the UK, and the USA attended the symposium. English teacher, Niu Xilai, interpreted for the deputies with good completion.
With the encouragement of the above-mentioned teachers' outstanding performances in foreign affairs exchange, School of Foreign Studies will continue to make strenuous effort in broadening its vision and enhancing cooperation with local enterprises, government institutions and international organizations and thus better serve and commit to Xi'an economic development.
