　　Recently, the Education Working Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Province Committee has announced the re-examination of the standardization center and demonstration center of mental health education and consultation in universities and colleges in Shaanxi (2022) and Xi’an University Student Mental Health Education Center has been approved as the “Mental Health Education and Consultation Standardization Center of Universities and Colleges in Shaanxi”with the highest score.

　　Over the years,Xi’an-U has been attaching great importance to mental health education work and deeply implementing the Outline of Mental Health Education for Students in Universities and other documents.The mental health education center persists in the combination of scientific knowledge and effectiveness, development and prevention and builds up the ranks of mental health work backbone teachers and students. The center has deeply coordinated students, schools, families, hospitals and society’s efforts, applied the Three Comprehensive Education, consolidated the Four Levels of Prevention and formed coordinated working mechanism of psychological education and moral education.

　　The coverage of mental health education and access to it have been expanding, which significantly increased college students’ awareness of seeking help and actively participating. Ourmental health education work is effective and fruitful in the aspects of leadership system, teaching and research, publicity activities, counseling services, prevention and intervention, team building and conditions, etc. It has played an important role in improving the quality of the ideological and political education work forcollege students and the mental health work forteachers and students.

　　Xi’an-U will take the success indeclaring the provincial standardized center as an opportunity to foster the spirit of the 20th Party Congress, carry out the fundamental task of establishing moral education, continue to standardize the development of mental health education and counseling services, and continuously promote the coordinated development of students’ mental health quality, ideological and ethical health standardsand the scientific and cultural levels, so as to build Xi’an-U a high-level city university that knows about Xi’an most.
