　　The activity "Looking for Outstanding Youth in the New Journey of Welcoming the 20th CPC National Congress" hosted by Xi’an Municipal Committee ofThe Communist Youth League of China has announced the winners, jointly organized by Publicity Department of Xi’an Municipal Party Committee, Office of Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress of Xi’an Municipal Party Committee and other 12 municipal organizations.

　　Zheng Mengting, student from School of Foreign Studies, won “2022 Xi’an Outstanding Youth Award” in the section of volunteer service after the application in secondary schools, campus evaluation, merit recommendation, evaluation and review by Xi’an Municipal Committee of The Communist Youth League of China.

　　Zheng Mengting, female, Han nationality, Chinese Communist Party member, is a student from School of Foreign Studies and currently serves as the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of School of Foreign Studies. She has won four national awards, two provincial awards, and eleven campus awards and honors. Adhering to the ideal of “endless life and continuous volunteering”, she devotes her spare time to various volunteer services, such as the United Nations Children’s Fund Program, the 14th National Games, Xi’an City Wall Marathon, 2021 China Merchants Bank Xi’an Branch Sports, Oral English Test of College Entrance Examination, and new students orientation. During the COVID-10 pandemic, she volunteered in the fields of epidemic prevention and control on and off campus, and has awarded the titles of “Anti-epidemic Outstanding Youth”, “Virtue Youth” and “Excellent Volunteer” of Xi’an-U.

　　The activity reflected the characteristics of youth in Xi’an in the new era. They are positive and striving for their dreams, representing as models for youth league members and setting examples for young people in Xi’an. The youth league members of Xi’an-U should learn form the students who won the awards, study and implement the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, contribute youth wisdom to comprehensively promote the construction of the national central city, and devote to the construction of Xi’an-U as a distinctive high-level application-oriented university with distinctive characters that understands Xi’an best.
