Russian Vologda National University and Spanish University of Extremadura visits Xian-U

During the 19th Trade and Investment Forum for Cooperation between East and West China, , Xi 'an 

government built the Platform and actively promoted the education exchanges and cooperation between 

Russia and China. On May 23, President Sokolov Leonid of Russian Vologda National University visited 

our university. Vice President Wang Xiao-ping met with the guests, accompanying with heads of

International Exchange Division and Propaganda Department.

The two sides held in-depth talks about students exchange, teachers exchange and academic mutual 

visits etc. Wang Xiao-ping said Xi’anU is willing to actively carry out the exchanges of students, teachers,

academic visits and various other aspects like cultural art with Russian Vologda National University. 

Xi’an-U sincerely welcomed teachers and students from Russian Vologda National University to visit 

our university and learn Chinese language here. She also introduced in details the current teaching

of Chinese as a foreign language in our university.

President Sokolov Leonid said Russian Vologda National University, as a merger of several colleges and 

institutions, has a lot in common with Xi’an-U such as school history, school-running models, major setups 

and school-running orientation etc.. 

He is willing to actively facilitate the cooperation in fields like engineering science and technology, economic 

management, culture and art, physical education etc.. The two sides signed a memorandum of cooperation, 

and said the details of cooperation will be further improved after the meeting. What’s more, both sides will 

try to actively expand the academic exchange and cooperation between the two universities.

On May 25, Ms. Ines from International Exchange Division of Spanish University of Extremadura visited 

Xi’an-U. Dong Xiaofeng, the head of International e Exchange Division of Xi’an-U, received the guests.

Division head Dong Xiaofeng introduced in details to visitors our university’s basic situation, school-running orientation and the information of international exchanges and cooperation. He said our university 

is willing to actively develop the communication in various aspects with Spanish University of Extremadura 

and welcomed teachers and students from Spanish University of Extremadura to visit our university and 

learn Chinese language here. 

Ms. Ines said Spanish University of Extremadura attached great importance to cooperation and exchange 

relations with universities all over the world. It has successively signed cooperation agreements with 300 

countries in Europe and America. It absorbs and sends nearly thousands of students each year to 

participate in the international communication project. In recent years, on the basis of the successful 

cooperation with European and American universities, Spanish University of Extremadura has planned 

to pay more attention to the exploitation of China's education market. Xi 'an is famous for its long history, 

fruitful culture, and abundant education resources. Spanish University of Extremadura would be very happy

to strengthen cooperation with our university in the fields as preschool education, Chinese as a foreign

language etc. 

Ms. Ines said special persons will be appointed to take the responsibility for screening cooperation content 

and further promote the cooperation and communication between the two universities.
