The Delegation of Suranaree Univeristy of Technology Visited Our University

On April 28, the dean of Department of Foreign Language of Suranaree University of Technology
and other 3 members visited our university. Vice-President Wang Xiaoping, along with the
leaders from Department of Foreign Language, Personnel Office and Department of
Foreign Exchange and Cooperation participated in the related activities.
Vice-President Wang Xiaoping expressed warm welcome to the visit of the guests from SUT
and introduced the international cooperation and exchanges and joint-education programs
among Xi’an-U and other foreign universities. Dr. Anchalee Wannaruk showed her hope on
further strengthening the exchanges and cooperation with our university and wished to confirm
our university as the test center for recruiting PhD students in mainland China. Both sides
made full discussion on related cooperative issues, deeply communicating in student exchange,
teacher exchange,
our teachers’ studying for doctorate degree majoring in English Linguistics and short-term
academicseminar. Both sides preliminarily signed the cooperation on holding the Education
Exchange Week in 2016. After the meeting, the delegation visited our Yushi Ceramics Museum with
great interest.
In the afternoon, 10 graduate students from other colleges and universities in Yunnan, Guizhou,
Sichuan and other provinces took participation in the written examination and interview in the
PhD entrance examination of SUT majoring in English Linguistics. Dr. Suksan Suppasetseree from
SUT made an academic lecture on “English Genre Analysis” for the teachers and students from
Department of Foreign Language of Xi’an-U.
This communication expands the vision of international cooperation in jointing education and
sets up a new platform for international cooperation and exchanges for our university, and
it also effectively strengthen our cooperation and exchanges with universities in ASEAN.
