Mrs. Chen Jun, the East Asia Regional Director of University of the West of Scotland, Visited Xi'an-U

On April 28, Mrs. Chen Jun, the director of East Asia Region of University of the West of Scotland, 

visited our university. Vice-President Wang Xiaoping and director of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation 

Department Dong Xiaofeng met the visitors.Both sides had made further conversation on the 

projects of teacher exchange and student exchange and preliminarilysigned the cooperative

agreement. Many privileges would be covered in the agreement for Xi’an-U students who would study

abroad in University of the West of Scotland, such as tuition, accommodation, scholarship, language 

preparation and studying for a Master’s degree.

Vice-President Wang Xiaoping hoped active exchanges and cooperation would be carried out into 

the fields of scholars exchange, students exchange, cultural and artistic communication. At the same 

time, Wang Xiaoping expressed great gratitude to University of the West of Scotland for admitting 

three teachers of Xi’anU to study last year. Mrs. Chen Jun appreciated deeply on the developmental 

situation of our university. She wished to actively promoting the cooperation in English, Management, 

Arts, Environmental Protection and other related subjects. Both sides agreed to carry out the 

contents of the talks by the specialists, assign the detailed cooperation and further promote 

substantive cooperation and exchanges between two schools in order to make positive contribution on 

promoting Sino-Britain cooperation in education and cultural exchanges.
