　　The Third Congress of Xi’an University of the Communist Party of China was held on July 20 and 21st in Xi’an University with an attendance of 143 official representatives and 126 nonvoting representatives.

　　The congress is themed “to fully implement Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in New Era and the spirit of the 19th National CPC Congress with the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people to advance the building of the first-class school and the first-class discipline, no efforts will be spared to launch a new journey of building a high-quality city university with distinctive features”.

　　Mr. Wen Xiangrong, the Party Secretary of the university, deliveredThe Third Congress Report of Xi’an University of the Communist Party of China on behalf of the Second CPC Committee of Xi’an University, including achievements, existing issues over the past five years and clarifying goals and key tasks in the coming five years.

　　Prof. Chen Gang, the president of the university, presented the background and process of drafting the mid and long-term development plan and illustrated Xi’an University Mid and Long-Term Development Plan(2020-2035) Draft with four parts of Historic Opportunity, Future Blueprint and Strategic Goal, Strategic Priorities and Measures ,and Implementation and Assurance. The Plan sets an overall objective for the university: to pursue the principle of Xi’an-Oriented, Applicable and Open-minded to build the university into a talent cultivation base, a characteristic research center, a decision-making think tank, and a cultural innovation highland.

　　The times will fail no courageous man. The congress has accomplished its tasks and projected goals under concerted efforts of all the representatives. Congratulations for its success!
