The 9th China-KoreaYouth Friendly Football Matchon the theme of“Spring of Pomegranate Flower” held in Our University

In the afternoon of 16th May, the 9th Xi’an,China- Jinju, KoreaYouth Friendly Football Match on the theme of “Spring of Pomegranate Flower”washeld on the west track field inour University. Wu Jian, member of the Standing Committee of Xi'an Municipal Committee of the CPC and director of Publicity Department ofXi’an Municipality, andLee Changxi, mayor of Jinju in South Korea, attended and delivered a speech.

Wu Jian firstlyextended the cordial welcome to all the team players, coaches and working staff. He said football is an important sportsevent worldwide. It is also the adorable game among the youth in both China and South Korea. He hoped the two teams could learn from each other to improve theirfootball playing skills andstrengthen their friendship.

Lee Changxi expressed his good wish for the two cities’ further communication to be enhanced, the better youth friendly football match to be continuously held, so thatthe youth friendlyfootballmatch on the theme of “Spring of Pomegranate Flower” could become moresplendid and glamorous.

Lei Yingjie,Party secretary of our university declared the beginning of thefootball match. The football match is not only one of themajor parts ofXi’an, China- Jinju, Korea activity week on the theme of “Spring of Pomegranate Flower”, but also the extension and continuation of the previousfootball communication activity on the same theme. The finals happened between the Zhidan Youth Football team of China andthe ChoKwang-raeFootballClassroom Youth Football team ofSouth Korea. After 50 minutes fierce competition, the two teams reached the finals with the score 1∶1. In the end,Zhidan Youth Football team won the Korean Jinju Youth Football teamby a score of 4:3.Lee Changxiand Liang Wanqing, director of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affaires Office of Xi’an Municipal People’s Government,presented thetrophies and medals to the winners and took a group photo.
