On April.24, a group of four teachers from NFC (NTUC First Campus), headed by Dr. Lin Meilian, leader of National Language Curriculum Planning, visited Xi’an-U. They were accorded a warm reception by Vice president Wang Xiaoping. Directors from our International Exchange Center, Admission Center and Teacher’s College were also present at the forum.

Wang Xiaoping told the guests that our preschool education enjoys a high standing and our graduates are in badly need. Over recent years, the government has attached great importance to preschool education, which provides a good opportunity for the reform and further development of the major in our school. We have increased the investments, enlarged the enrollments and deepened the reform in preschool education. As a result, there is a steady advancement in the quality of graduates and social influence. The visit paid by representatives from NFC to our school is recognition of the quality of preschool education in our school. It is hoped that our two schools will carry out cooperation so as to learn from each other with regard to teaching concepts.

In the afternoon, teaches from NFC held an introductory meeting about practicing teaching and employment. Dr. Lin Meilian made an introduction to NFC, especially its concepts and issues related to working and living conditions and salary when graduates work in NFC. Furthermore, she answered questions which students are concerned about, such as safety, visa, Medicare and holiday.

Founded in 1977, NFC was one of the nine cooperatives of national worker union in Singapore. It enjoys great prestige and provides best service in childcare and education. Under its childcare centers are the Caterpillar’s Cove, Kinder garden and Children International School.
