Xi'an-UPresident Xu Kewei , an expert in applied material field , delivered an academic speech, Development and Application of Biomedical Materials, to teachers and students on December 7th, 2012. In the report, President Xu introduced definition and profile of biomedical materials and stated the research content and the value of the field. During the report, teachers and students greatly inspired by the ideas of promoting scientific and technological innovation, narrowing down research directions and improving scientific research ability in his report.
The First Academic Activities Month of Xi’an University of Arts and Science finished successfully.
54 various academic activities: symposiums, professional seminars, and special topic forums, were held in The First Academic Activities Month, one report from an academician, two from Yangtze River scholars, twenty-three from various experts and professors, six from enterprise experts, and twelvefrom young teachers and leadingofficials of government. During the month, 10 various academic activities were held in our university, including workshops, exhibitions, artistic theme activities, school-enterprise cooperation forums, and regional education seminars. Roughly estimated, more than 6000 audience attended the activities in this month. These activities created a strong academic atmosphere, strengthened teachers’ consciousness of academic exchange, broadened academic horizon for faculty and students, inspired innovation consciousness and research interests of teachers and students.
