In the morning of May 26, vice president Yang Yonglie, fromLingdong Technical University(Taiwan),paid avisit to our university withhissecretary Liu Kaiping.The leaders including president Xu Kewei, vice president Geng Zhanjun and Guo Rui, the member of University Council showed our warm welcome to the distinguised guests. President Yang and the followers made a close look at our YuShi Ceramics Museum, Ceramic Art Workshop and Printmaking Workshop of School of Arts. Finally they had an informal discussion and exchanges with teachers and students.

During the visit, Mr. Yang deeply inquired about recruitment of students who majored in Ceramic Art, the class size, the teaching methods, the job market, etc. Then he made a general introduction about how Lingdong Technical University(Taiwan) encouraged students in participation of international competition and their honours & awards. Mr. Li of Xi’an-U first expressed our university’s gratititude for their considerate arrangements for the students during the stay in Taiwan and he said since the letter of intent was signed in 2010, a batch of 6 to 9 40 teachers and students have been appointed to further the study at Lingdong Technical University based on the educational exchange project bewteen Xi’an-U and the universities in Taiwan.

After cordial exchanges of both sides, two universities have reached a concencus in multi-cooperatin, such as teachers’ training, short-term research, students’ camp and painting and calligraphy exhibition.
