Bai Zhengjie, Associate Professor of School of Art Lead Xi'an Philharmonic Chorus to Go to Taiwan for Competition and Won the Gold Award and the Best Conductor Award

Xi'an Philharmonic Chorus lead by Bai Zhengjie, an associate professor of School of Art of our university, 

participated in the Crossstrait New Year Chorus Music Festival and Chorus Competition organized by Taipei 

Philharmonic Foundation for Culture and Education and Taipei Philharmonic Chorus.

Xi'an Philharmonic Chorus performed two music compositions having rich local characteristics of Shaanxi, 

Here's for you City of Chang'an, and Wild Goose Pagoda Towers underneath the Sky selected

from chorus suite Chang'an Feeling; and after fierce competition, the Chorus won the Gold Award, 

and Bai Zhengjie won the Best Conductor Award.

This activity is designed to promote cultural and art communications of chorus of both sides of the Taiwan 

Strait, to build a bridge of friendship using the beautiful sounds, to strengthen and develop the brotherhood on both sides and to make efforts to contribute the art and cultural communication 

between both sides.
