President of Xi’an-U Attends the 24th IFHTSE Congress

On June 26, the International Federation of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE) executive board meeting
was held in the conference center in Nice, France in preparation for the upcoming member conference. The conference
was presided over by the secretary general Steffen hock, chairman Patrick jacquot, vice President Mackenzie
Scott, former chairman. Our president Xu Kewei and other executive committee attended the meeting, and they were
from China, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Japan and other countries. Prior to the meeting, the secretary-general specifically wore the emblem for former chairman Xu Kewei. This conference approved Turkey and
another country to join IFHTSE. Ms. Eva Troell, from Switzerland, was elected as vice chairman of federation, and
she is IFHTSE's first female leader.
The conference has passed the draft of candidates for confederations, and decided to award the title of Fellow to those who have made a significant contribution to international exchanges in the field of heat treatment and surface engineering. Lei Tingquan and Xu Binshi, two Chinese academicians, have won this honor before. Secretariat of Commission also reported the official journal, operation plan and development goals at the conference. Mr. IMIR FELDE, Treasurer, reported the financial situation now. Reinhold Schneider, former chairman of IFHTSE, made a hoe scepter with organization logo as a gift for the new chairman to show his thanks to the organization specially. The production process of this hoe scepter concentrated display and main mark the perfect fit of the heat treatment and surface engineering in tool manufacture. The conference focused on the subsequent international exchange program, and determined that the 25th general assembly will be held in Xi’an in September next year and passed that the Heat Treatment Academy in Russia and Japan will be held in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
It was reported that the 24th conference of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering Association was held on June 27.
The secretary-general wears the emblem of the international federation for President Xu.
