President Xu Kewei Invited to Doctor’s Degree Awarding Ceremony in Charles University in Prague, Had Talk with Famous Physicist Jindrich Musil

Local time in the morning of June 30, Xu Kewei, president of Xi’an-U, was invited to the graduation ceremony for doctor graduates from School of Humanities in Charles University in Prague. With the guide of Etiquette member of Charles University in Prague, president Xu Kewei entered the assembly hall. With the solemn melody and after verifying each graduate status, the president hold the academic scepter, walked down the stage. And each Ph.D. graduate put palm above the scepter in turn, accepting blessing from the professor, which marked the completion of the stage of doctoral academy and received the Doctor’s degree.

On the Square locating in front of Charles University in Prague, president Xu Kewei met with Jindrich Musil, a famous nuclear physicist and materials scientist in Czech Republic with a warm handshake and had a happy talk with each other. President Xu Kewei expressed admiration for the outstanding contribution made by Professor Musil and also invited him to join in the 25th Congress of the International Federation of Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering in Xi 'an next year. Professor Musil showed deep appreciation for the invitation and would be very happy to participate in the congress and also agreed to be the distinguished professor for School of Mechanical and Material Engineering of Xi’an-U. Professor Musil said the health of body and money are important, but science and thinking are permanent.

Zhang Tianshe, dean of the School of Humanities, Zhang Yunliang, dean of School of Mechanical and Material Engineering and Zhangsun Furong, interpreter from School of Foreign Studies also joined in these activities.
