Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the second batch of national first-class undergraduate course accreditation results. Our university has added 5 national first-class undergraduate courses, including 1 online first-class course, 2 online and offline hybrid first-class courses, and 2 offline first-class courses. Up to now, our university has 6 national first-class undergraduate courses.
The construction of first-class undergraduate courses is an important action of the Ministry of Education to implement general Secretary Xi Jinping's important remarks on education，adhere to the fundamental task of establishing moral education, deepen the teaching reform of higher education and improve the quality of talent training.
In recent years,Xi’an-U attaches great importance to the curriculum construction work. Since the school fully launched the "Internet +" teaching mode reform work in 2018, the curriculum construction has improved the quality and growth rate, and entered the fast track of high-quality development. It has successively issued the Implementation Opinions of Xi 'an University in Deepening Curriculum Construction, Management Measures for Curriculum Construction of Xi' an-U, Measures for Application and Management of Online Curriculum Construction of Xi’an University, and Teaching Reward Measures of Xi’an University, which provide incentive guarantee for curriculum construction. In the past five years, the educational reform project focuses on the comprehensive curriculum reform, about 100 projects have been established every year, with a total investment of more than 18 million yuan to support curriculum construction, providing research guarantee for curriculum construction. In the past five years, the university has established a long-term three-level cultivation mechanism of first-class courses “China-province-school”, and formed a “three-layer” curriculum quality assurance system, which provides quality assurance for curriculum construction. The first layer is to establish the selection criteria of school-level first-class courses and strictly control the entrance of curriculum quality. The second level is the establishment of school-enterprise linkage course operation mechanism, combined with the Chaoxing, Zhihuishu and other course platforms, coordinated curriculum blended teaching, improve the quality of courses; The third layer is to establish a normal mechanism of inviting well-known experts to polish and improve the quality of provincial and national first-class course application round by round, so as to make the course quality the ultimate key.
In the next step, the university will take the construction of first-class undergraduate courses as an opportunity to further deepen the curriculum teaching reform, promote the improvement of classroom education effect, and promote the improvement of the teaching connotation and innovative development of Xi’an university.
