Personal Profile:

  Chen Gang, male, Han nationality, was born in February, 1966 in Santai, Sichuan Province. He is a Community Party member, doctor, professor and doctoral supervisor.

  Chen Gang was admitted to the Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1982, majoring in mechanical engineering, where he obtained his PhD in 1992. In July 1991, he began work at Xi’an University of Technology. He went to Fukui University in Japan to study from 1995 to 2000. He was appointed to be professor and doctoral tutor at Xi'an University of Technology, vice dean of Water Resources and Hydropower in Xi’an University of Technology, and Party Committee member and director of academic affairs of Xi’an University of Technology. In August 2008, he has served successively as Party Committee member and vice president of Ankang University, and he became the president and vice party secretary of Ankang University in December 2014. Since December 2017, he has been the president and vice party secretary of Xi'an University.

  Over the years, Chen Gang has been committed to the fields of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and multi-phase fluid dynamics research. He took charge of 2 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and more than 20 other research projects. He published more than 70 scientific research papers, and won two items of the prize of Shaanxi Province teaching achievement.
